The Sunflower and The Bee Flower A4 Print

Continuing my lifelong love of painting flowers, the Sunflower has joined the collection. I took the photo I referenced for this piece last summer and I always wanted to paint it. That special moment when a bee is collecting pollen from a flower, has always been magical to me and I was so happy to catch this moment. I have also never seen a sunflower in this rich red colour, making it extra special!

Sunflowers primarily symbolise unwavering faith, loyalty and adoration, stemming from the Greek myth of Clytie and Apollo. They represent joy, longevity, and optimism, acting as a "happy" flower that radiates warmth, positivity, and strength. Sunflowers are often used to express admiration, encouragement, and lasting friendship.
