At Daisy Lion Designs, every painting begins with something worth remembering.

Hi I'm Hayley,

I'm the artist behind Daisylion Designs, where every piece begins with a paintbrush and a love of the natural world.

I've been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. After studying art through school, college and university, my creativity took me into a career in marketing, working with lifestyle and bridal brands. But painting was never far away.

I'm lucky enough to call the North Devon coast home, with the countryside and sea right on my doorstep. Whether I'm walking coastal paths or wandering through wildflower meadows, I find endless inspiration in the colours, textures and quiet beauty of the natural world.

During the Covid pandemic, I found my way back to painting, creating personal pieces for friends and family and rediscovering the joy of making art by hand. Around the same time, my two daughters became my greatest source of inspiration.

Although I've been fortunate enough to win awards for my artwork over the years, sharing it beyond family and friends took a little more courage. Now, with both of my girls at school, it finally felt like the right time to turn that dream into reality.

Today, Daisylion Designs is a growing collection of hand-painted artwork, prints and gifts inspired by nature, wildlife and the places we love. My hope is that every piece brings a little beauty, joy and connection into your home—or becomes a thoughtful gift for someone special.

The story behind the name

The name Daisylion Designs came from one of those wonderfully unexpected childhood moments.

My eldest daughter accidentally combined the words "daisy" and "dandelion" to create "Daisylion"—and I instantly knew I'd found the name for the creative business I'd always dreamed of.

(She also called woodlice "guinea pigs", but thankfully that one didn't stick!)
